In this lesson we will be taking about sound levels.  Each Multitrack has the tendency to differ in sound levels.  It is a good idea to try and keep them as consistent as possible but to not worry about making each song exactly the same in volume.  We will still have the ability to adjust audio levels in Mainstage, but the more work we do on the front end will help the process and create less work later on. In this lesson we will go through the process of adding a guide track.  Most Multitracks will have their own but if you desire to have a consistent guide throughout your songs you can either create one yourself or use the provided Guide Library in the support files link located in the description of Part 1. In this lesson we will replace the stock Click with our own.  You can create your own click track or use the ones from the support files link provided in the description of part 1.  If you do, you will notice that the click will not be in sync with your session, even at the right tempo.  In the new Click Track, you will have to adjust the audio region to trim off the first part of the region to[…]

In this lesson we will go through the process of adding markers for each section of the song.  This will be used later by Mainstage and will enable you to jump to, skip or repeat sections of the song when performing it live. Share This Page

Part 3 in the series.  This just shows the process for adding a click track to the session. Most Multitrack files will have a track with their own click sound.  We will cover later how you can add your own click to replace the one with your file, but for now this lesson shows how to match the tempo of your GarageBand session to that of the imported Multitrack Stems. This is part 2 of the series on using Multitracks in Mainstage.  In this video we will reorder the tracks to make it easier to work with them.  In a sense this step is optional but it helps to keep everything organized. Share This Page

This is a series of video showing how to take multitrack stems from sites like loop community.com and multitracks.com and migrate them to Mainstage. This can be done with any DAW but Logic and GarageBand are preferred bacause of how they export meta info in stems for Mainstage. These videos show the process using GarageBand because is comes installed on every new Mac. Mainstage is a powerful app you can get in the app store for $29. If you would[…]

Something that has become very popular in churches is the use of backing tracks or also called “Enhancement” tracks.  Sites like Multitracks.com and LoopCommunity.com provide these multitracks.  Multitracks.com has a wide selection of multitracks and many come from the original studio masters.  A multitrack gives you individual tracks or also called “Stems” for each instrument in the song.  Don’t have a bass player one Sunday, no problem.  Add the bass track to your mix and you are good to go.[…]

Here is another great song that you can’t get anywhere but Loop Community.  This is a power female led worship song that really sets the environment for God’s presence.  This is a produced version of original Hillsong arrangement.  It is a must have for your multitrack library.  Your worship services will never be the same.  Check out this and other of my multitrack productions on my Artist Page at loopcommunity.com Share This Page

One of my favorite things in worship is when older songs are made new with a fresh arrangement.  This is a recycle of the old Vineyard Music song in the nineties.  This current arrangement is awesome and very powerful when added to a worship set.  It is female led and has the rhythmic grunge style you would expect from Kim Walker.  Check out my Artist Page at loopcommunity.com to hear this and other produced multitracks that you can use in[…]
